Inland Walton County is the part of our service area that most photographers skip — too far inland for the 30A photographers, too far west for the Tallahassee crowd. We shoot here regularly because the agents who work this market deserve the same photography their coastal counterparts get.
Since 2020 we've shot 45+ DeFuniak Springs and Paxton listings. The properties tend to be larger (more acreage, more lot to work with) and the price points are more affordable than the coast — but the photography still matters. Online marketing is online marketing, regardless of zip code.
What this market looks like
DeFuniak Springs has a historic district. Victorian and turn-of-the-century homes around Lake DeFuniak deserve photography that honors the architecture. Drone is especially useful here to capture the unique circular layout around the lake.
Paxton and the lake homes. Paxton sits at the north end of Walton County, near the Alabama border. Lake homes and acreage properties dominate. Drone-only packages ($150) are common for vacant land and pre-listing exterior shoots.
Drone is fully open here. No major airspace restrictions. Standard FAA Part 107 operations work everywhere we shoot in this corridor.
Drive time is real but reasonable. DeFuniak Springs is about 40 minutes from Crestview; Paxton is closer to an hour. We don't add a travel fee, but Walton-inland shoots release in our schedule on Tuesdays and Wednesdays so we can batch the route.
